Lochlea
Ploughing Edition
1st Crop
Single Malt | 46.0% ABV | 70cl
Our first peated expression, inspired by the winter months on the farm when the fields are ploughed in preparation for spring sowing. Matured in ex-Islay barrels and peated quarter casks, this release offers a warming, smoky take on Lochlea’s signature spirit.

Summary
Ploughing Edition – First Crop marks Lochlea’s first exploration into peated whisky. Inspired by the winter season on the farm, when the fields are ploughed ahead of spring planting, this expression introduces a gentle smoky dimension to the distillery’s signature style.
Matured in a combination of ex-Islay barrels and peated quarter casks, the whisky develops a balance of warming smoke, baked fruit sweetness and nutty richness.
The icy blue label reflects the cold and frosty Ayrshire winters experienced on Lochlea Farm.
