Second Crop celebrates the annual barley harvest on Lochlea Farm. Matured in a combination of Port, STR and first-fill Bourbon casks, this expression delivers a beautifully fruity and creamy dram with vibrant red fruit character.
Summary
Harvest Edition – Second Crop continues Lochlea’s seasonal series inspired by life on the farm. For this release, the distillery team increased the influence of Port casks and replaced the previous Sherry butts with STR barriques, creating a whisky that emphasises bright fruit sweetness and creamy texture.
The coral red label reflects the colour of the Ayrshire soil after harvest, when the fields transform into a warm sunset tone once the barley has been gathered.
